Film: Sorry we missed you (15)

As on previous occasions, the local Labour Party is hiring the village hall in Maplebeck to screen an important film and the event is again open to the general public. So you are very welcome to attend.

This latest 5 Star Ken Loach masterpiece has just been released and is currently being shown in a number of cinemas. With his usual meticulous research (as for his last film I, Daniel Blake) he now shines the light on the gig economy and zero-hour contracts and their real effects. A must see! A very early licence has been obtained direct from the distributor for this Community Screening to make it possible.

Ticket prices are £5 on the door and if you would like to reserve tickets please call Wendy Patterson Tel: 07718 877199

The doors will open at 6.45pm and there will be an opportunity to meet and question the local Labour parliamentary candidate, James Baggaley. He is a local man who has worked for Amnesty International and researches global challenges such as climate change, health inequality and poverty. The public is invited to this session; but turning up at a little before 7.30pm, for the film only, is also OK.
